Review

Unfortunately, this game doesn't belong amoung the previous Elder Scrolls classics of Daggerfall and Arena. I found it an enjoyable game myself, probably because of being an Elder Scrolls and CRPG fan. There is a lot of good things in the game itself. Character creation is just as good as that in Daggerfall and the NPC interaction is well done. There are a number of annoying bugs that appear frequently, such as getting stuck in objects, clipping problems, and the odd crash. To run the game in hi-res, 640x480x65536 color, you will need a good computer (p200 or more) to get satisfactory results. The multi-player aspect is a good idea but is very slow and close to unplayable, even on a fast connection. Overall, I'd reccommend picking it up in the bargain bin for a few pucks to those die-hard Elder Scrolls and role-playing fans.

Pros: Good Elder Scrolls setting, character creation, detailed levels, puzzles, NPC conversation
Cons: Nasty Bugs, limited replayability, too short, very poor multi-player
Overall: Mediocre RPG for Elder Scrolls fans
