The Waterfront Butcher is a butcher shop located at the southern end of the Imperial City Waterfront District in a building that doubles as Lear's home.

The proprietor, Lear Redwrist, has 50 gold and a Mercantile skill of 40; he sells ingredients, and buys ingredients and potions.

Most of the building that Lear owns is given over to the shop. A counter to the left of the door divides off the shop portion; Lear can be found here during business hours (often with his dog, Knucklebone), ready to serve customers. He has a table against the wall behind the counter for butchering fresh meat, and a fireplace sits in the opposite wall (usually with a pot of stew bubbling over it). A door in the back leads to a pen where he keeps a few sheep and boars; the area just inside the door is used for storing carcasses until he has a chance to butcher them properly.
