Ambric is a Breton bard, who will replace Renod Even-Toned as the resident minstrel of the Jerall View Inn shortly after you arrive in Bruma. He spends all of his days in the inn's common room, taking quick, one-hour meals at 7am and 7pm.
Ambric wears fine clothes and a matching pair of boots. He carries all the tools of his trade (drum, flute and lute) as well a random selection of gold, lockpicks, rings, food and drink.
Dialogue[edit]
When greeting you, he will cheerfully inquire:
- "Greetings. I'm Ambric. Ambric the bard. In the mood for song?"
- "The Jerall View is quite an agreeable venue. So, what can I play for you?"
You can also ask him a few questions:
- I didn't see you around here before.
- "You wouldn't have. Stantus recently hired me to replace who was, by all accounts, a particularly... disagreeable fellow bard."
- I assume you're referring to Renod Even-Toned?
- "Yes. By all accounts, quite a shocking excuse for a bard. But I'm not here to pass judgement on others, I'm here to entertain. So, want a song?"
- Best of luck with this job, then.
- "Heh, I'll try!
- Where'd you learn to play?
- "Back home in High Rock. Wayrest, to be specific. Great place. A real bastion of the arts. Lots of talented musicians back there. You should head there sometime! They even have a menagerie, though it may have moved on by now."
- Is there a 'bastion of the arts' in Cyrodiil?
- "Well, nowhere compares to what's in High Rock, of course, though perhaps that's just my affinity for Breton culture shining through. There's the Nirn Theater. You'll find it on the Imperial Isle, just outside the walls of the Imperial City. Other than that... not much springs to mind, I'm afraid."
Notes[edit]
- He is voiced by Jonah Scott.
