—Iradal[1]
Iradal was a powerful Altmer mage and sage,[1] and a member of the Conclave of the Eleven Forces,[2] the ruling council of the Psijic Order active duing the Interregnum of the Second Era.[3]
History[edit]
Little is known about Iradal's past before he joined the Order. Little is known about the exact details of his focus of studies, but it involved forms and principles.[1]
During the Summerset crisis related to the Court of Bedlam in 2E 582, Iradal, as a member of the Conclave of the Eleven Forces, participated in a complex scrying ritual led by the Ritemaster Iachesis.[3] After uncovering the Sea Sload's involvement, the Ritemaster requested that the council determine a new investigative focus, expecting that Amaleera and Iradal would be able to explore new avenues for the investigation.[2] He also acted in the capacity of messenger during such a crisis.[1][4] During the scrying performed later to reveal the attack on Artauem, he quickly identified that the sword of their unexpected ally Golden Knight, Darien Gautier, was the Dawnbreaker.[1][5]
Following the death of Ritemaster Iachesis, the remaining members of the Conclave, including Iradal, honored Iachesis's dying wish by agreeing to appoint Valsirenn as the interim Ritemaster.[6][2] This decision was made until the Conclave could come to a consensus on a more permanent and suitable candidate.[3][6]
