Koron was a name of a prominent conjurer or term associated with the practice of Conjuration.[1] Some spells of high importance for the study of conjuration,[2][3] were named after Koron,[4] presumably following the practice of naming spells after their creators.[nb 1] Those spells were later modified by other conjurers for various purposes.[5][6][7]
Spells[edit]
Koron's Peremptory Summons[edit]
Koron's Peremptory Summons is a conjuration spell named after Koron used to bind Atronachs. Variants of the spell were later perfected by Corvus Direnni. The Direnni discovered that a conjurer could impose a desired form upon the summoned atronach. For centuries, Koron's Peremptory Summons was the standard spell for summoning these entities, prized for its flexibility in modifying both the duration of the binding and the atronach's form. Modified versions of Koron's spell were used to conjure a variety of Atronachs in forms more familiar to the people of Tamriel, including those adapted for use as mounts.
Denogorath the Dread Archivist also modified Koron's Peremptory Summons to conjure Cold-Flame Atronachs.
According to a potentially fictional tale about Prince Hubalajad, he removed the binding clause from Koron's Peremptory Summons and discovered that the altered spell could be used to bind forces other than a Daedra's will. He used it to immobilize people.
Koron's Perdurable Prison[edit]
Koron's Perdurable Prison is a spell named after Koron. It was mentioned in the tale about Prince Hubalajad. It was also referred to simply as Koron's Prison. This spell was used by Vizier Hafzifeh al-Yath to bind a Mournful Aegis to his turban. The Vizier was known for his deep interest in conjuration magic and for studying Principles of Conjuration by Corvus Direnni. Corvus himself was renowned for his work on spells associated with Koron, such as Koron's Peremptory Summons.
