Tertius Favonius

Tertius Favonius is an Imperial commoner living in the Imperial City's Elven Gardens District with his girlfriend, Romana Faleria. He works as a vendor for The Black Horse Courier.

Tertius wakes up every day at 6am and then spends the first two hours of the day relaxing on the ground floor. After this he heads outside and sets about his job, loudly proclaiming his wares to any passers-by. His shifts lasts until 6pm, with a two-hour break at 1pm when he heads over to the King and Queen Tavern for lunch. After a long day of selling, he eats a two-hour dinner at home until 8pm and then relaxes with Romana until his bedtime at midnight.

The only exception to this schedule is on the 19th of every month, when at 8am he heads off to Bravil and specifically Silverhome on the Water. It takes him fourteen hours to get there but due to a bug he only stays inside briefly before turning back and heading home.

Tertius wears a set of middle-class clothing: a burgundy linen shirt, burgundy linens and a pair of quilted shoes. He also carries his house key and a small amount of gold.

Dialogue

Tertius seems to be quite involved in his relationship with Romana, as he will greet you with:

"Tertius Favonius. Romana and me have set up housekeeping. She's a real doll, isn't she?"

When you ask him about the Imperial City he will be rather forthcoming about his past but he also makes it clear that he has changed by telling you that:

"I like the ladies. It's been my weakness. But now I've got Romana, I stay away from the fleshpots."

Like Tertius, Romana will also often talk about her partner when you approach her:

"Isn't Tertius a dreamboat? I'm Romana Faleria. I'm such a lucky girl."

When you ask her about the Imperial City she will reveal that she knows about Tertius' past with the ladies:

"It is SO hard to find a man you can trust in this big city. Sure, Tertius has had his share of girls. Just look at him. But all that's changed now."

Bugs

• Tertius's package for his Bravil trip has no duration, meaning he will never spend any time at Silverhome once arriving.
  • The Unofficial Oblivion Patch, version 3.5.0, fixes this bug.
