Does he exist?[edit]
Has anyone ever actually met this NPC in the game? According to the CS, he is not anywhere within the game world and I can't find any script that places him there. -- JustTheBast 12:29, 15 March 2007 (EDT)
- I don't know. I got the info about his behaviors by looking at his AI settings and dialog. If he did exist, he would be in the Imperial City and occasionally visit Cheydinhal. It's possible he's just a test-NPC that was removed prior to the game's release. (Which would explain "I'm nobody special".) Might be interesting to see if one of the developers is named Curtis. --TheRealLurlock Talk 14:56, 15 March 2007 (EDT)
- His lines were recorded, though. Would they have done that for a test NPC? -- JustTheBast 15:41, 15 March 2007 (EDT)
- Were they recorded by the same voice actor who did the rest of the male Redguard lines? Or does it sound like somebody else? Wouldn't be a sure sign of anything, as there are a few characters whose voices are not consistant - most notably the beggars, but it might be another clue that it's a test character if that is the case. Come to think of it, I think some of the voices in the game are done by Bethesda employees, and not necessarily professional actors. Not sure if that's the case with the male Redguard's voice, but who knows? --TheRealLurlock Talk 17:12, 15 March 2007 (EDT)
- If he's just a test NPC and doesn't really exist in the game... where did the image come from...? --Saruuk 00:50, 11 September 2007 (EDT)
- You can use the console command
player.placeatme 0001D34A
to spawn a copy and then take a picture. It's odd that this one was only uploaded today though - I thought Timenn and I had done 'em all weeks ago. --RpehTalk 01:08, 11 September 2007 (EDT)- I know that. How else do you think I got pictures of all the different Dremora in a 10 minute span? ;) I just wasn't sure if someone actually found him and took a screenshot, or if they used the console. If it is a console-induced screenshot, is it really right to have a fake screenshot for an NPC who doesn't exist? --Saruuk 01:11, 11 September 2007 (EDT)
- (rpeh turns red, stares at his shoes and mutters something about having used the console for Wallace when he couldn't find him). I agree that if he doesn't exist in game, the page should be more like Ris Fralmoton's - mention him and move on. Now we have to prove whether or not he exists. Tricky. --RpehTalk 03:07, 11 September 2007 (EDT)

- I can't see any evidence that he exists. Although the generic CS info for him exists, there is no evidence of a spawned copy of him ever being created. In particular, unlike every other named NPC in the game he does not have a corresponding "ACHR" record, which is where information on the spawned copy of the NPC is kept (i.e., location). And there is no script command that would ever spawn him. Finally, his use info says that his only "use" is in the two unique dialogues that he would say if he exists. --NepheleTalk 11:29, 11 September 2007 (EDT)
- I found this page from his key's entry because it doesn't open anything and wondered why I could not remember seeing him. One of his AI packages starts with ImpEx... Imperial Express, the "Do you need couriers?" quest that got cut. This explains why he has some dialog but is still a nowhere man. If no one else does I'll find another page for an NPC that doesn't appear in-game and edit this one accordingly. He's definitely not anywhere. --Kivan 23:49, 23 January 2008 (EST)
