Oblivion talk:Jearl
Schedule from CS[edit]
This is Jearl's schedule, as seen in the Construction Set.
-
- If Jearl is close to the northern spy point, but not quite there yet, she will sneak there (which she's probably already doing anyway from the next entry). This seemingly-redundant schedule is designed to prevent the back-and-forth seen with Saveri and the Bruma Caverns, or any back-and-forth from the player leaving and returning.
- If Jearl is close to both the stone and Saveri, and the player is close but unnoticed, Jearl will sneak towards the bend in the road just to the north.
- If the player is far away, she will stay put, either by the stone or by the northern spy point if the player has previously approached her location that night.
- If the player is noticed, of course she attacks.
- Barring the player's presence, she will remain at the rune stone between 4pm and midnight.
- Between 4pm and 6am, she will wander in a small area in Bruma Caverns. Since the above schedule takes precedence, this means she will wander in the caverns only after she goes to the stone.
- From 6am until noon, she will sleep at her house, unless of course Saveri's stealing her bed.
- From 2pm until 4pm, she'll eat at her house.
- Any other time, she'll wander around her house.

Possible for the PC to live in Jearl's house?[edit]
It would be nice to know if the containers in Jearl's house respawn or not. If not, then this would be a potential free house for the player character after completing the Spies in Bruma quest. — Unsigned comment by Syscrusher (talk • contribs) on 27 April 2010
- All the containers in the main floor respawn except the chest and the only one that is safe in the basement is the covered pot. Not really suitable for a free house. rpeh •T•C•E• 10:25, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

Moved notes[edit]
- It's very common for Jearl to get killed during her travels out in open.
- Killing Jearl with a sneak attack will count as an un-provoked murder and will trigger the Dark Brotherhood storyline.
The first one is extremely common for all NPCs that travel through the wilderness. The second one is a also a common problem, so I've moved both for being common problems. Please leave a message here before reinstating either. --AKB Talk 23:00, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- Both notes definitely deserve a place here, not on the article. In fact, all the "This is a very convenient NPC to kill if you want the DBs attention"-notes should be removed from NPC pages. They are covered on the Dark Brotherhood page, where they belong. --Krusty 23:16, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'll make a note of doing a review of all of the NPCs pages for similar notes later, all one-thousand of them... On second thought I'll add it to the task list. Not that I won't at least attempt it its just that there are hundreds of them, I was pretty much entirely burned out after doing the notes pruning for the quest pages. I wonder if it is possible to have a bot or something produce a list of NPCs with notes sections, that would at least make this a bit more manageable. --AKB Talk 23:32, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not entirely sure, but there shouldn't be too many - I can only think of the Skooma Den residents, but it is just a matter of deleting the notes when you come across them. :) --Krusty 23:35, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
