Phylgaux Dugot in Evermore

The Wyress Freyda warned me away from Jackdaw Cove as dark forces are at work in northern Bangkorai.

Detailed Walkthrough

"What are you doing here, city dweller?"

When you approach Jackdaw Cove from the west road, you will find Wyress Freyda guarding the road, if you talk with her she will have a request for you:

"Keep your distance, outsider. The last thing we need is some rock-brained city dweller bumbling around.
Darkness dominates this part of the forest—Uela the Hagraven and her Reachmen are encamped here. For now, at least."

Is there anything I can do?

"Yes. There is something you could do for me, outsider. I have a cousin who left the sisterhood and returned to the stinking pile of rocks that is Evermore.
If you are going there, find her and tell her to leave the city now."

Why do you want her to leave?

"Because the city is doomed. Even if they are not destroyed by the Reachmen, there is a corruption from within the city that will bring it down.
I prefer that my cousin Phylgaux was not there. Please, just tell her she has to get out."

All right. I'll give Phylgaux the message.

You need to find her cousin and warn her about the impending Dark Witnesses attack. You can either take the road back to Evermore, through the woods, or you can use the nearby wayshrine to quickly reach the city. Once you have arrived, you can start looking for Phylgaux. She can be found in the refugee area on the eastern side of town, kneeling in front of the fountain:

"Do you mind? I'm trying to have a quiet moment to myself here."

Your cousin Freyda thinks you should leave Evermore.

"Gods! She's still trying to control me! That's why I left! I'm not taking orders from Cousin Freyda anymore, and I'll be staying in Evermore whether she likes it or not.
Thanks for the message. Thanks for reminding me why I'm here."

While, she is annoyed with her cousin interfering with her life again, she will still hand you a small amount of gold for the news. More importantly, you are in a position to help the city now you are there.
