Season vs Seasons

I know a bot job was just run to change all instances of "Seasons of the Worm Cult" to the singular "Season" based on how it appears in-game. What is the specific source? It's a big change considering all the marketing to date has used the plural. —⁠Legoless (talk) 08:03, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

Where does it appear as "Season" in-game? Are we sure the instance isn't an error? Even if we ignore all the out-of-game marketing, the 2025 Content Pass in the Crown Store lists the two parts as "Seasons of the Worm Cult." The Help menu entry is also Seasons of the Worm Cult. The singular name "Season of the Worm Cult" does in fact appear in-game when looking at the Set Collections menu, where its called "Season of the Worm Cult Part 1" (picture attached). However, the Crown Store calls it the plural Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 & Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2, and the Achievements journal calls it "Seasons of the Worm Cult". It also appears the marketing mostly uses the plural name. In a scan of the lang file, "Season of the Worm Cult" produced 12 results and "Seasons of the Worm Cult" produced 18 results. While the singular name makes more sense and helps to not confuse it with the umbrella term of "Seasons", it looks like "Seasons of the Worm Cult" is more widely used, so perhaps we should rename it back. Since this move is now beginning to be propagated to other areas of the site, I have gone ahead and moved this page back to its most common name. Unfortunately it seems that the plural Seasons is still what ZOS are going with, outside of that one Crown Store screen. Yeah, I agree with that. Now that its been moved back to Seasons, do we want to change the Mod Headers to link to 2025 Content Pass, or should we keep them linked to Seasons of the Worm Cult (S-WC)? The Rim of the Sky (talk) 21:08, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
