The Naharine River's source

The Naharine River is a major river that flows through the southern reaches of the Strident Coast before emptying into the Abecean Sea. The source of the river is found along the eastern slope of the hills found in the southeastern corner of the region, north of the Dasek Marsh. It flows east past several locations of greater or lesser importance, including the village of Hal Sadek, the city of Anvil, and the Strident Floodlands. It is named after Naharine the Shield-Maiden, Cyrodiilic saint of the waterways as well as patron saint of Anvil.

Relevant Dialogue[edit]

  • The headwaters of the Naharine are up in the hills east of Hal Sadek. It then wraps around the village and flows northwest, where it empties into the Abecean Sea outside of Anvil. It's named for Naharine the shield-maiden, saint of the waterways. - Naharine River topic

Notes[edit]

  • Prior to the Abecean Shores release in late 2024, the Naharine river was initially planned to be called the Petty Strid. Royice in Anvil's Imperial Geographical Society references to this in their dialogue: I'm always having to update the maps around here. Is it the Strident Coast, or the Gold Coast? The Naharine River, or the Petty Strid? I do wish they'd make up their minds.
