Paean for a Glimpse of Beauty
by Asilla Miriam
The restored rhyme of a Breton poet.

Sunlight falls on golden shores, On golden wealth arrayed in golden port A marble plaza welcomes it, With marble towers aligned in grand comport

But far from Anvil's gilded gates, and ocean blue, When sun has settled in the west and stars are all in view The water is a mirror, the grass its silver frame, The beauty of the stars above are in its eye proclaimed

Shooting stars alight the sky, And aurbic pinpoints shimmer all aflame Dibella's light pours down upon The lake, Celestial beauty without name

I sit astride her presence, hear her voice ring true Her starlit song is radiant, its sight a beauteous tune And as her music swells, the lake is all aglow I feel I've had a glimpse into a world I do not know

Sunlight reigns soon once again, The gold returned and silver snuffed from sight But still sometimes, I close my eyes and see that starstruck portal filled with light
