• The Dwarven Armored Mudcrab is a reference to the satirical "Crab Armor DLC" advertisement from PC Gamer in 2011, poking fun at the Horse Armor Pack for Oblivion.
• This Creation previously added the quest My Pet Mudcrab, which was automatically added to your journal upon installation and completion of Helgen. The quest directed you to Understone Keep in Markarth to purchase the Dwarven Armored Mudcrab from Calcelmo. The Anniversary Edition on November 11, 2021 updated the Creation to no longer start the quest automatically.
• The Dwarven Armored Mudcrab can be obtained for free by pickpocketing the Ownership Deed off Calcelmo. The deed and Notice of Sale will lose quest item status once the Mudcrab is spoken with.
