Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
The latest rumors in Othmura can on occasion point you towards Bera Famori, who occupies a shack across the river from the town. Approaching Bera will reveal that she is undertaking a yeth-grub experiment that she believes will revolutionize Morrowind. She'll ask that you aid her as an assistant. Agree, and she will pass you Bera Famori's Research Notes to read - before changing her mind and taking them back. Bera sets you the task of escorting the yeth-grub next to her to wherever it decides to go.
Leave the hut and follow the yeth-grub. It'll head southeast towards the mangroves, before attacking. Kill it, and return to Bera. She is disappointed that yeth-grubs are unsuitable for use in war, and asks you to escort another. Leave the hut once more. This grub will follow you passively before perishing as you get too far from the hut. Return to Bera once more. She'll entrust you with her perfect specimen, instructing you to follow it. Leave the hut, and trail the yeth-grub eastwards to the Aren Farmhouse. It'll stop at the farmhouse, and you'll receive a journal update instructing you to report the experiment's success to Bera.
Go to Bera. She's overjoyed at the experiment's relative success, and will then decide to kill you for knowing too much. Before combat engages however, she'll try to remember if you have seen her research notes. Answer 'yes' and she will attack - unless you can calm her, you'll need to kill her. Answer 'no', and she will stand down and reward you instead.
If you do answer 'yes' and then successfully calm Bera via use of a spell, talk to her about the yeth-grub experiment again. She'll give you the same reward as if you answered 'no', plus a level in Alchemy as a reward for your honesty.
