Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Speak with Rojanna Jades about freeing an Imperial citizen, Ji'Zirr from enslavement at a distillery, and then head down to Kathellomar for directions on how to get there. Make your way to Bal Foyen and take a silt strider to Menaan, then take the road out of Menaan east. There is a small dirt road that goes south to a farm just off the road, it's not that one. A little farther down the road there's a large plantation area, south of the road, that's the Distillery.

On speaking with Drarus Savrethi on walking into the Distillery's land and talking to him about enslaved citizen, he mentions that it makes sense Ji'Zirr is an Imperial Citizen, but he sprung himself from captivity last night, and he doesn't know where he went. But he took a slave key with him, and Drarus will pay you well to bring the slave key back to him.

Go speak to the slave Bassazahn nearby to find out where Ji'Zirr is hiding. Turns out he is hiding in a nearby cave that requires no jumping (or levitation, perhaps) to get to, despite what he says. South of the Distillery is a valley containing a river and a cave called Duda, and Bassazahn says Ji'Zirr is probably hiding there.

The actual location of Duda.

Follow the road in the Distillery south, until you end up near a platform with some barrels at the foot of it, and turn south, and go straight, following the curve of the "path" into the valley, leading right to Duda. View the image for reference. The description of where Duda is is wrong, from what Bassazahn tells you.

Walking into Duda, you'll be assaulted by an enemy. Take care of them and move a little deeper into the cave, before turning right and going down a wooden ladder-ramp. To the right will be a small room of enemies, defeat them, then leave that room and turn right to take care of a couple more enemies and rescue Ji'Zirr. Bring him out of the cave, and he'll thank you for the rescue. To get the Slave Key, talk to him again and he will give you the Slave Key.

Route 1: Bring the Slave Key to Drarus[edit]

If you bring the Slave Key to Drarus, he will reward you with some Vintage Brandy. On returning to Rojanna Jades at Fort Ancylis, she will praise your work for freeing Ji'Zirr, and reward you with 250 gold. You can also go speak to Kathellomar who will reward you with Silver Bracer of Assertion and Silver Bracer of Diplomacy, if you choose to speak to Kathellomar after speaking to Rojanna Jades.

Route 2: Bring the Slave Key to Rojanna[edit]

Contrary to what the quest would have you believe, you do not need to free any slaves on the Distillery land to get the reward from Rojanna Jades. Instead, you can just go back to Fort Ancylis after escorting Ji'Zirr, and handing the key over to Rojanna Jades. She gives you the Silver Gavel of Blind Justice as a reward and takes the key. Also, after doing this, Kathellomar does not have the enslaved citizen text to talk about Ji'Zirr.
