Ienni Drothril is a Dark Elf commoner, currently residing in the Manor of the Lord, in the former Indoril city of Khalaan.
With all the time in the world, and by her own admission, not much else to do, she spends her time cleaning rooms, although how her corporeal form permits this goes unexplained.
"She's one of our best servants, doesn't whine or wander off. I prefer to delegate most of the tasks to her. She seems to have a way with other servants." - Indoril Dilale on Ienni Drothril
However, Ienni seems to suffer from an inner conflict that crosses the bridge between the living and the dead. During the events of Warm to the Touch, her corporeal remains in Morrowind's Drothril Ancestral Tomb develop a strange warmth, and there are reports of unsettling events at the tomb. Her ghostly form in Khalaan is largely unaware of this, with her only concerns being the wellbeing of others in the manor, and Daedra outside.
"No one knows why it's like this. Most believe that this is what Indoril Balver desires. I don't. It feels so wrong, so alien; it couldn't have been his doing. This manor is one of the last peaceful places here. Could be the last. The Daedra outside scare me, so I never leave. I just wish none of this had ever happened."
It is only after you assist the other ghosts in the manor, befriend Ienni and speak some harsh truths to her that she finally admits her conflict. She will move on from Khalaan shortly afterwards.
"As much as I hate it, I must admit that I was wrong. I don't help anyone by staying here. If anything, I add to the suffering. It was never my responsibility to save others, and maybe... if I am free again, I could... No. These thoughts again. I was meant to be gone for a long time now, I feel so tired..."
