Quick Walkthrough

1. Speak to Maurrisha at the Imperial Guard Command Post in the southern gatehouse of Old Ebonheart.
2. Talk to Helice Rastin in Arkay's Tower, in Old Ebonheart's Castle for the Mortuary key.
3. Enter the sewers via the entrance in the mortuary, and speak to any guard there.
4. Kill the rats in the northwestern sewers and report back to the sewer guard.
5. On your return, engage Miriel near the treasure chamber entrance and either:
   • Let her go on her way - the vault is breached and you can expect a demotion.
   • Persuade her it's not worth it with 50+ Speechcraft.
   • Extort a 50 gold bribe to look the other way with 50+ Mercantile.
   • Fight her until she surrenders, or is killed.
   • Join her in robbing the vault, if a member of the Thieves Guild.
6. Report back to Maurrisha.

34		The thief surrendered, she is now on her way to prison. I should report back to Captain Maurrisha.
40		I've let her go on her way.
41		The officer told me that the vault had been breached. I should report back to Captain Maurrisha.
50		She's a thief going by the name of Miriel, planning to rob the lower levels of the treasury. I've decided to join her.
51	Finishes quest	The guards saw me robbing the vault. I'm expelled from the Imperial Legion.
100	Finishes quest	Captain Maurrisha rewarded me for my duty.
