Votus Titonian guards the haunted Stendarr Tower in Old Ebonheart

Quick Walkthrough

1. Speak to Votus Titonian outside the Ebon Tower's Stendarr Tower.
   • Don't just enter - offer to help, or vengeful spirit topic won't trigger.
2. Ask Votus about who to talk to about exorcising the vengeful spirit.
3. Speak to:
   • Helice Rastin in Arkay's Tower (optional).
   • Memistean Fellux in Akatosh's Tower (optional).
   • Cellitara at the Old Ebonheart Mages Guild.
   • Hastophos Velifer (optional).
4. Purchase supplies from Yuaile Phyroc (optional)
5. Either:
   • Calm the vengeful spirit in the tower and offer to help it.
   • Soul trap the spirit and kill it (ends quest and rewards with Silver Longsword of Protection).
6. Retrieve the five dark idols from:
   • Votus Titonian.
   • Cirtiel (for sale).
   • Caros Cocceius.
   • Quercus Duro.
7. Speak to Haladroth on the Pride of Narusia about the dark idols.
8. Persuade Votus to help get the statues banned.
   • You will need to have either 90 disposition, Agent rank in the Imperial Legion or been cured of corprus.
9. Once persuaded, speak to Votus about the dark idols again.
10. Speak to the spirit for the signet ring.
11. Speak to Votus for the potions, and to complete the quest.

Notes

• In the event that you persuade Votus to make the ash statues illegal and increase Imperial patrols, one such patrol will appear across the river from Old Ebonheart.

10		Votus Titonian at the Ebon Tower of Old Ebonheart told me about a ghost that is currently haunting Stendarr Tower. I've agreed to try to exorcise it.
15		On the matter of the Stendarr Tower ghost, Votus Titonian suggested I talk to either Helice Rastin in Arkay's Tower or Memistrean Fellux in Akatosh's Tower. I could also go into Old Ebonheart to ask at the Mages Guild.
20		Helice Rastin recommended that I use Turn Undead on the ghost.
30		Memistrean Fellux suggested using magic or a silver or better quality weapon to banish the ghost.
40		Cellitara in the Old Ebonheart Mages Guild suggested I try to talk to the ghost after using a Calm Creature spell on it. Yuiale Phyroc may have a scroll to suit that purpose. Cellitara also suggested talking to Hastophos Velifer, who may know more about dealing with the undead.
50		Hastophos Velifer suggested soul trapping the spirit to remove it from Stendarr Tower.
60		The spirit claims to be Indoril Uryn, the former lord of Old Ebonheart. He committed suicide after the Armistice with the Empire was signed.
70		The ghost said that dark idols are spreading corruption throughout the city. I should see if I can find those who bear these idols and either kill them or find some other way to take the idols. Perhaps Votus Titonian will know more.
75		Votus Titonian recognized the dark idols as Dark Elf statues being sold down on the waterfront. When I told him the ghost told me to kill him, he attacked.
78		Votus Titonian recognized the dark idols as Dark Elf statues being sold by a Bosmer named Cirtiel near the docks. Votus gave me the statue that he bought.
80		Cirtiel agreed to stop selling the ash statues. She said she sold three other statues to Imperials at Ebon Tower: One to Votus Titonian, one to Quercus Duro at the resettlement office, and one to Caros Cocceius in the palace. Her supplier is the shipmaster of the Pride of Narusia.
90		I threatened Caros Cocceius, but he didn't respond to my threat.
93		I collected the ash statue that Caros Cocceius bought.
95		Quercus Duro was not swayed by my threats.
98		Quercus Duro gave me his ash statue.
99		I spoke to the Pride of Narusia's shipmaster, Haldroth, but he refused to stop supplying the statues.
100		Votus Titonian promised to look into what can be done about the shipping of the ash statues.
105		Votus Titonian agreed to request that the Dark Elf ash statues be declared an illegal trade good within Imperial jurisdiction and that Imperial patrols be increased in the Thirr delta.
110	Finishes quest	I gave the Indoril ghost the five statues that were spreading corruption, and the spirit is finally at peace. In return, it has given me its signet ring. I should go report my success to Votus Titonian.
120	Finishes quest	I succeeded in soul-trapping the ghost haunting Stendarr Tower. I should report my success at the guard post outside Stendarr Tower.
125	Finishes quest	For my efforts, Votus Titonian presented me with two potions of fire resistance.
130	Finishes quest	For my efforts, Votus Titonian presented me with a silver longsword, useful against normal specters.
