Quick Walkthrough

1. Talk to Gathar Virian at Virian Farm about Dralnas Virian.
2. Speak with Nalmen Drinith in Surpu, north of the farm, about Dralnas Virian and Adursaranit.
3. Go to Adursaranit, Inner Shrine, and find Dralnas Virian.
4. Return to Nalmen.
5. Break the news to Gathar.
6. Enter the farmhouse and inform Bilsa Virian, either:
   • Describing Dralnas as a heroic martyr.
   • Describing Dralnas as ill-prepared by Nalmen (locks out Nalmen's reward).
7. Either:
   • Give Bilsa Dralnas Virian's Signet Ring (rewards 1x Standard Fortify Endurance and The Gospel of Saint Felms).
   • Don't (rewards the potion only).
8. (Optional) Return to Nalmen (rewards +3 Alteration).

Detailed Walkthrough

The two Dark Elves that work Virian Farm have not heard from their son, Dralnas Virian, in a while. Speak to Gathar Virian in the fields, and he'll ask if you can take a Letter to Dralnas to Dralnas for him, and then bring the reply - the two parents are too weak now to make the journey across the river.

Cross the river and enter the tower of Surpu that stands on the northern bank. You'll find a hermit named Nalmen Drinith inside. Ask him about Dralnas Virian and he'll reveal that he has trained Dralnas to be a crusader and sent him out to the Daedric shrine of Adursaranit. He now believes Dralnas to be dead, and is unsure how to tell his parents. He asks that you visit Adursaranit and retrieve Dralnas' signet ring.

You can choose to return to the Virian parents at this point, but they are understandably keen that you confirm Dralnas isn't just wounded in the shrine. So head out to Adursaranit instead. It's a short walk north of Surpu. Fight through the dungeon into the Inner Shrine area, and then look for a cell in the cavern section of that area. Dralnas' body is in this cell. Searching it will give you a journal update. You can also (but do not have to) take Dralnas Virian's Signet Ring from the corpse.

Now return to Nalmen in Surpu. He asks that you break the news to the parents gently. Return to Virian Farm and inform Gathar, then enter the farmhouse to tell the mother, Bilsa Virian. She will want to know how her son died. You can choose to blame Nalmen, or stress the son's heroism. The former will lock you out of a reward from Nalmen. Bilsa will also ask for the signet ring. Hand it over, and she'll give you a small additional reward of The Gospel of Saint Felms. Either way, she'll pass you a Standard Fortify Endurance potion in thanks.

Return to Nalmen (if you didn't blame him for Dralnas' death) and he'll thank you by raising your Alteration skill by three levels.

Notes

• If, after blaming Nalmen for Dralnas' demise, you speak to him about it less than 20 Disposition, he will attack you.

10		At a farm on the south bank of the Kanit River west of Hlerynhul, I met a farmer named Gathar Virian, who asked me to deliver a letter to his son, Dralnas Virian. Dralnas is a disciple of a hermit named Nalmen Drinith, who can be found in the Velothi tower Surpu on the north bank of the river.
20		The hermit Nalmen Drinith sent his disciple Dralnas Virian on a crusade against the Daedric cultists in Adursaranit. That was some time ago, and Dralnas has not returned. Nalmen suggested that I go to Adursaranit to avenge him and perhaps find his signet ring to return to his parents.
30		A Daedric cultist in Adursaranit told me that their cult killed Dralnas Virian.
40		I found the body of Dralnas Virian in Adursaranit.
50		Nalmen Drinith thanked me for confirming the death of Dralnas Virian. He told me to go back to Dralnas' parents and then return to Surpu for a reward.
60		Gathar was devastated when I told him that his son, Dralnas Virian, was dead.
100	Finishes quest	I told Dralnas' mother that he died a heroic martyr's death.
