Hammerfell is one of the nine provinces you can visit in Arena. It is the homeland of the Redguards, and thus the starting location for Redguard characters. Situated in the west of Tamriel, the province is primarily desert, with mountains along its northern and eastern borders, and forests on its western coast around Hegathe and along its northwestern coast around Lainlyn. It borders the Imperial Province to the southeast, Skyrim to the northeast, and High Rock to the northwest. Starfall Bay separates northwestern Hammerfell from High Rock's western peninsula. The majority of the Dragon's Teeth Mountains are located within Hammerfell, along its eastern borders from Dragonstar to Elinhir.

During the Main Quest, you will travel to Rihad and Stonekeep, as well as locate the first piece of the Staff of Chaos in Fang Lair, the lost hold of the Dwarves of Kragen, in the Dragon's Teeth Mountains in eastern Hammerfell.

The dungeons containing the maps leading to Spell Breaker and Volendrung are located in this province, with each dungeon discovered during their respective artifact quests.
