"A Nord warrior sees much in a life of bloodshed and battle, and is rarely surprised by anything armed combat may bring. But few among us that day could have imagined the awe and uncertainty of a raging battlefield that all at once went motionless and silent. Such is the effect the Snow Prince had on us all. For when the joyous cries of the Elves had ended, there remained a quiet known only in the solitude of slumber. " —Fall of the Snow Prince by Lokheim[1]

Heimdall the Frenzied was one of the greatest Nord warriors among the participants of the Battle of the Moesring.[1]

Heimdall, together with Ulfgi Anvil-Hand, Strom the White, and Freida Oaken-Wand, stood among the mightiest warriors of their group, yet all were defeated by the Snow Prince, his spear, and his mastery of ice and snow magic. They fell in battle and lay dead at the foot of the Moesring Mountains. Though victorious, the Prince too met his end that day, slain by Finna, daughter of Jofrior, whom the elf had previously killed.[1]

An ancient account of the last battle of Heimdall titled Fall of the Snow Prince authored by Lokheim, chronicler to the chieftain Ingjaldr White-Eye,[2] was discovered in Jolgeirr Barrow by the Nerevarine around 3E 427.[3] This account went on to become a published book, and was a popular text by 3E 433 and 4E 201.[1]
