Mols Hlarsis, a plantation owner seeking retribution in Old Ebonheart

Mols Hlarsis is a Dark Elf Hunter, and an owner of a plantation somewhere on the Hlaalu side of the Thirr River. His left eye was struck out during a struggle with an escaping Argonian slave named Alju-Deekus, and he has come to Old Ebonheart to seek justice for the injury.

He can be found in the Central Offices of the Ebon Tower's Curia, outside the Ministry of Justice, and having no luck with the Minister of Justice, Belisatha Mede, will ask you to get involved in a spot of extrajudicial revenge. After the quest is completed, he will leave to his plantation.

He wears a common shirt, a pair of common pants, and a pair of exquisite shoes.

Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows no spells.

Dialogue[edit]

Hlarsis v Alju-Deekus[edit]

  • Greetings:
"What do you want, outlander? If you are looking for work then perhaps you can help me enact my retribution."
"Have you come back to help me enact my retribution?"
"How goes my retribution, outlander?"
(If you killed Alju-Deekus):
"You came back and with something to show for it! I smell Argonian blood on you, outlander. I'm glad to see that some foreigners still respect our laws and traditions. Please, take this gold I was going to offer you. If you are ever in the area, feel free to stop at my plantation." (You receive 100 gold)
(If you killed Alju-Deekus without taking his quest):
"Strange. I came to Old Ebonheart seeking retribution against an Argonian named Alju-Deekus, a slave of mine who escaped and found freedom here. I've received news of his death; not by my hand mind you. And here you are, smelling of lizard blood. Don't tell me if it was you, but take this gold all the same. If you are ever in the area, feel free to stop at my plantation." (You receive 100 gold)
"I am getting ready to head back home now, outlander."
(If you told Belisatha Mede about his plans):
"Unless you want to get hurt I suggest you leave."
  • Alju-Deekus:
"Yes, that is the name of the slave."
"Yes, that is the name of the slave. Again, I don't know where he is."
(If you convinced him to give up):
"I'll have to buy another slave soon to replace him."
(If you told Belisatha Mede about his plans):
"You have some nerve mentioning that name."
(If you killed Alju-Deekus):
"He got what he deserved. I'll buy a replacement soon enough."
(If you returned Alju-Deekus to him alive):
"He has plenty of work in store for him back at the plantation."
  • retribution:
"Yes outlander, retribution. You see, I run a plantation along the Thirr river. About a month ago I had an Argonian slave by the name of Alju-Deekus try to escape my plantation. I tried stopping him but the fetcher fought back! He fought back so hard that he blinded me in my left eye and managed to escape! Knowing that most slaves escape to Old Ebonheart and that I belong to House Hlaalu, I planned to use the Empire's justice to schedule a trial to bring him back into my custody."
  • Continue:
"However, it seems the court agrees with the slave, and due to a 'loophole' he is now a free citizen. What nonsense! Has this wretched court forgotten about the Armistice!? This is when I realized the Empire's justice wouldn't give me back what was rightfully mine. This is where you come in. Are you interested in helping me?"
  • Yes.:
"Great! I knew you were the right person to approach. I don't think the court is going to change their opinion on the matter so we will have to take matters into our own hands. I just want the s'wit dead. I will pay you 100 drakes for this. If you are somehow able to convince the court to return custody to me I will be able to throw in the extra gold I would have to spend on a new slave."
  • Continue:
"Unfortunately I do not know where the slave might be hiding, but his lawyer, Gnaea Ellerian, can be found in Marsh & Ellerian's offices here. See if you can get it out of her. Well, get to it!"
  • No.:
"Well, that's a shame. I will be here if you change your mind."
"What will it be, outlander?" (See 'Yes' and 'No' choices above)
"How's it going? Any news to report?"
  • I want you to give up on your plan for retribution.:
"And why should I do that, outlander? As you heard from my story, it is justified."
  • You're not going to get anywhere with this. The court won't agree with you, and no one is going to risk a murder charge with how little you are offering to pay.:
"You don't know what you're talking about, outlander. My offer still stands. Take it before I find someone else."
(If Disposition ≥ 80):
"You're right. I needed to hear the truth from someone I could trust. Thank you. I'm going home now."
  • How about I pay for a new slave?:
"Fine. If you pay me the 1,000 drakes for a new slave I will abandon my plan."
  • Sure.:
"Great! Very well then. I will uphold my end of the bargain. I will return home and abandon my plan to get revenge on Alju-Deekus." (Removed 1000 gold from your inventory)
(If you don't have the gold):
"You don't have enough gold. You can't fool me, outlander."
  • Nope:
"Then no deal, outlander. My offer still stands. Take it before I find someone else."
  • No.:
"I see. Well, get to it!"
(If you convinced Belisatha Mede to turn Alju-Deekus over to him):
"I heard everything from across the room. I'm still in shock that you were able to turn the verdict around with such ease. Please take the gold I promised plus the extra gold I would have to spend on a new slave. If you are ever in the area, please feel free to stop at my plantation." (You receive 1100 gold)
(If you killed Alju-Deekus):
"I smell Argonian blood on you; you actually did it, outlander! I'm glad to see that some foreigners still respect our laws and traditions. Please, take the gold as promised. If you are ever in the area, please feel free to stop at my plantation."
"Yes, thank you again for helping me. I won't forget it."
(If you convinced him to give up):
"Yes, I gave up on that plan."
(If you told Belisatha Mede about his plans):
"I heard everything from across the room. Get out of my face, you backstabber."
