When Jode is waxing and Jone is new
Then shall be born the Tojay
Dancers in the Dark
And Masters of Forbidden Arts
They tell us the will of the Moons
And wield the magicks beyond
So pure are their souls
Only Moonlight echoes forth. —All Our Perfect Forms

The Tojay are a furstock of Khajiit. Little is known of the Tojay, except that they live in the southern marshes and jungle regions of Elsweyr,[1] such as in the Tenmar Forest.[2] They are said to be much like the Cathay.[1] Despite being depicted with digitigrade legs,[3] the Tojay have also been described as having plantigrade legs.[1]
Older stories give them the title of "Dancers in the Dark", and claim they can tell the will of the Moons while wielding strange magics.[4] Statues are built that depict them as dancers.[3]
